August 15, 2009 FMAA BATANGAS MONTHLY MEETING WITH REV. FR. ARVIN, MSP

FMAA Batangas held its monthly meeting last August 15, 2009 in Binubusan Chapel in Lian Batangas with the FMAA Luzon Mission-Promotion Priest Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Arvin Mosqueda, MSP and FMAA Luzon regional officers. The host of the meeting was the St. John the Baptist parish unit headed by Sis. Rosa.

The officers and members of the St. John parish unit prepared in sumptuous lunch for the priest and officers. At one 0 clock in the afternoon, the meeting began facilitated by Fr. Arvin. The Batagas units reported the activities in their respective units and their planned activities for Sept 2009.

Fr. Arvin after the reports, discussed the forthcoming get-together and FMAA deepening session to be facilitated by Sis. Ping Cortel, FMAA Vice-Chairperson of the National Coordinating Unit based from Davao. The session is scheduled to be held in Fontana Leisure Parks in Pampanga. Also, discussed was the area visitation of the MSP priest and seminarials in oter parishes in Batangas in preparation for the organizing of FMAA in different parishes in Batangas. As the last agendum of the meeting was the discussion of possible fundraising activities to be able to buy a transport system for the region of Luzon to be used in organizing and different activities. Suggested fundraising activities were raffle and concert where the MSP priests will be highlighted.

The meeting ended with the celebration of Euchrist presided by Fr. Arvin. The priest and officers went home at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

July 11, 2009 - BATANGAS PASTORAL VISIT

Last July 11, 2009, Rev. Fr. Nilo Pacuribot, MSP, the new Mission- Promotion Director and Rev. Fr. Arvin Mosqueda, MSP, the new Luzon Mission-Promotion Coordinator, held their pastoral visit in FMAA Batangas. Together with the MSP priests were the FMAA Luzon regional officers who joined the pastoral visit.

Two FMAA coordinating parish units , St. John the Baptish Parish in Lian and St. Francis Parish in Nasugbu, attended the meeting. The officers and members prepared lunch and together shared the banquet After the hearty lunch, the meeting followed. Each unit prepared a cheer and delivered their piece very well. The regional officers and the 2 priests also rendered their impromptu singing stints. Introduction of each unit followed.

To have a personal encounter with the new priests, a group dynamics was held. Each unit reported to the regional offcers and 2 priests their activities and gave suggestions on how to gain more members and enhance their FMAA apostolate. New plans and activities were scheduled.

The activity ended with the celebration of the Eucharist. The visit ended at 4 PM.

FMS 2009 Send-off and Thanksgiving in POLA

Last July 25, 2009, the FMAA volunteers was sent off to help MSP in the promotion of MSP and distribution of mission envelopes on Fil-mission Sunday. Rev. Fr. Alfie Africa, the newly-elected Father Moderator, and Rev. Fr. Arvin Mosqueda, MSP celebrated the mass. The new members of the FMAA were also commissioned.

Last August 8, 2009, the thanksgiving mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Lads Oliver, MSP Bursar General. The mass was sponsored by MSP in gratitude for the FMAA volunteers who helped during the Fil-Mission Sunday.

Fil-Mission Sunday September 26, 2009

The Filipino nation celebrated the Fil-Mission Sunday last July 26, 2009. It is celebrated every last Sunday of July to remind the Filipinos to support our Filipino missionaries in the mission through prayers and financial aids. About 180 FMAA members assisted in distributing envelopes to support the mission.

July 5, 2009 - BMO in POLA

The FMAA POLA unit held Basic Mission Orientation (BMO) last July 5, 2009 at the POLA function hall. Less than 20 parishioners of POLA attended the orientation. Rev Fr. Arvin Mosqueda, MSP., the newly-ordained priest led the orientation together with the two seminarians, Frts. Ramil and Rodney.
